In june FESCO set a new historic record for the VMTP container throughput

Vladivostok Commercial Seaport (VMTP), part of FESCO Transportation Group, handled over 47,777 TEU in June 2014, setting a personal historical record for container handling. The previous monthly record for the container handling was set in November 2013 and amounted to 46,463 TEU.

For the first half of 2014, VMTP handled 242,632 TEU, up to 8.4 % over the same period last year. Also, comparing the results for June 2014 and June 2013, we see that the monthly handling of containers increased by 22 % respectively.

This substantial increase in cargo throughtput is the result of optimization of business processes and modernization of port infrastructure, as well as attracting new customers in the fields of import and transit.
