FESCO reduces transit time between Shanghai port and Vladivostok on FCDL to 3 days from 5 days

03 April 2017

FESCO Transportation Group reduces transit time between the Far Eastern ports and the Chinese ports due to improvements in FESCO China Direct Line (FCDL) service.

The port of Busan is excluded from the rotation of the FCDL-Main, which allows FESCO to decrease transit time between the port of Shanghai and Vladivostok to three days from five days. The call to the Busan port remains available on the FCDL-North, northern branch of the service.

Taking into account the FCDL-Main restructuring, the FCDL-North capacity is increased by involving the third container vessel, called HYUNDAI ADVANCE. The vessel complements the SAXONIA and LETAVIA. The HYUNDAI ADVANCE is operating in cooperation with Hyundai Merchant Marine. The attraction of additional capacity allows FESCO to provide the stable service on a weekly basis as well as to provide the fixed windows in all ports of call on the Vladivostok-Vostochny-Busan-Qingdao-Shanghai-Ningbo-Pusan-Vladivostok route.

All improvements in the FCDL is effective from March 31, 2017.

FCDL is the only direct service between the ports of China and the ports of the Russian Far East. The line carries general, dangerous and refrigerated cargo in containers, as well as transportation of large-sized cargoes. FCDL operations are provided on two routes - northern and main. Each branch - FCDL-Main and FCDL-North - is serviced by three vessels with 3,091 TEU total capacity.
