With support of the Trade Mission of Russia in China and the Russian Export Centre FESCO Transportation Group held a business mission in the city of Zhengzhou. The main aim of the business mission was to create conditions for increase of freight traffic between Russian regions and the Henan province.
The event was organized as a series of meetings of Russian companies-exporters with representatives of Chinese business community and state structures. The Russian party presented to Chinese partners domestic products of non-resource exports, including food commodities, alcohol and mineral water. Following the presentations FESCO had reached a preliminary agreement with the Chinese company Zhengzhou International Hub (ZIH), which focuses on trading food, agricultural products, wines and spirits on addressing possibilities of export of Russian goods to the Henan province via ZIH distribution network. Authorities of the region, representatives of the Trade Mission, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia in China and the Russian Export Center expressed their readiness to support similar projects.
To ensure supply of Russian products to the Henan province FESCO and ZIH are planning to launch a new regular rail service that shall connect Zhengzhou with one of the Russian regions.
