FESCO Transportation Group (the “Group”, “FESCO”) and the State Tretyakov Gallery (the “Gallery”) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum. The document was signed by Andrey Severilov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FESCO and Zelfira Tregulova, Director General of the Tretyakov Gallery.
The parties agreed to promote sustainable development of culture, science, public awareness and educational activities as well as tourism potential of Russia; establishment of new recreational and career opportunities for citizens of our country; preservation, study and worthy presentation of historical and cultural heritage of the country. The signing was attended by Vera Shcherbina, First Vice-governor of Primorsky Territory, Chairman of the Government of Primorsky Territory. It took place during the official opening of the interactive exhibition “Tretyakov Gallery in Motion”, which is located in a specially erected temporary pavilion on Sportivnaya embankment in the center of Vladivostok. This is one of the joint projects of FESCO and the Tretyakov Gallery, which implements intentions of the parties set out in the memorandum in practice.
“The entire strategy of corporate social responsibility of FESCO is based on the idea of forming sustainable long-term partnerships – with business partners, government authorities, local communities, cultural institutions. One of these partnerships is our interaction with the Tretyakov Gallery. Two projects have already been successfully launched, the third one is coming, and – I am sure – there will be many others that are yet to be thought of. We hope that our joint work will help create new educational, career and recreational opportunities for residents of Primorye, will improve the quality of life and tourist attractiveness of the region and, ultimately, make the economy of the region more stable and dynamically developing,” Andrey Severilov commented.
“A large-scale cultural, educational and museum complex is being established in Vladivostok, part of which will be a branch of the Tretyakov Gallery. And it is very important for us to create exhibitional and educational programs and to conduct a dialogue with citizens and colleagues right now. We are pleased to start a partnership with FESCO, which supported several projects of the Tretyakov Gallery at a time this year. We hope that our common interest in the spatial and cultural development of the city will allow us to implement vivid and important exhibitional and educational programs,” Zelfira Tregulova noted.
Earlier, FESCO financed launch of master program “Museum Studies” in the Far Eastern Federal University and the Tretyakov Gallery. In autumn, FESCO will also support an exhibition of one masterpiece of Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin (painting “1918 in Petrograd”, better known as “The Petrograd Madonna”) in the Primorsky Art Gallery.
