«White Nights Ride» was organized under the patron of representatives of British aristocracy: His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, Lord Nicolas Fairfax, Tim von Halle, Prince Nicholas von Preussen. In one-and-half month participants should cover the way from Vladivostok to St Petersburg. The main purpose of motorbike rally is revival and consolidation of Russian and European traditions of patronage.
In the frames of motorbike rally collection of funds for maintenance of social charity projects in regions will be organized. In Vladivostok one of the most important objects, needed help, is Rehabilitation Center for children with oncohematologic diseases. This project is being conducted with direct support of Far-Eastern Shipping Company — the main regional sponsor of Ride. Besides FESCO from the Russian side the project was supported by Fund «Dinastiya» of Dmitriy Zimin, «Shevron Texaco» and «Alfa-Bank».
By the words of FESCO President and CEO Evgeniy N. Ambrosov: «FESCO being socially-oriented company supports such projects, that’s why we gratefully take part in charity funds collection and supported as well as financially and materially the idea of building of Children’s Rehabilitation Center».
Far-Eastern Shipping Company has already appropriated funds for design work and laying the foundation of the future Rehabilitation Center, where about 350 children per year will receive preventive and recovering treatment.
By the words of Nicholas Fairfax, heir of one of the most noble families of Great Britain, the author of «White Nights Ride» idea: «Ride is not only amazing adventure but a charity motorbike rally. We want to show the possibilities of charity actions’ realization and we are happy that not only British but Russian companies responded to our appeal to appropriate funds to the Rally budget».
Supporting the initiatives on rendering help to the needy people, Far Eastern shipping company, leaders of Russian business and representatives of British aristocracy consolidate their efforts for real help to Russia.
